Hi everyone!  The first few weeks of my winter break have flown by and now that 2011 is here, I’m starting to shift my focus toward Chile again.  I got a nice email from the folks at WordPress this morning.  They mulled over how this blog did in 2010, and here’s a summary:

Healthy Blog!

The Blog-Health-o-Meter™ readout: This blog is on fire!

Crunchy numbers

A Boeing 747-400 passenger jet can hold 416 passengers. This blog was viewed about 1,400 times in 2010. That’s about 3 full 747s.

In 2010, there were 38 new posts. There were 87 pictures uploaded, taking up a total of 18mb. That’s about 2 pictures per week.

The busiest day of the year was July 21st with 177 views. The most popular post that day had some pictures of a Chilean sunset.

Where did they come from?

The top referring sites in 2010 were facebook.com, iwu.edu, mail.yahoo.com, mail.live.com, and linkedin.com.

Some visitors found their way to this site by searching, mostly for Chilean recluse spider, CTIO, “triton cookies”, and poster session.  I think Sue would like the bit about our favorite cookies!

Anyway, I’ll get back to regular posting very soon, but this is it for now!
