About Me

I wrote this as an undergraduate student at Illinois Wesleyan University.  I majored in physics and minored in Spanish.  Sure, it seems like an unlikely combination; I would have agreed with you until summer 2010, when I got to go for an astronomy observing run in Chile.  It was the perfect opportunity for me.  In the fall of 2010, I also had the chance to present results of research with Dr. French (my professor and research advisor) at the 42nd annual DPS meeting of the AAS.  I received a Research Assistantship through the Research Experience for Undergraduates program at the Cerro Tololo Interamerican Observatory and participated in that program from January through March 2011.

You can read all about these adventures on the main page of the blog.  I hope you enjoy it!
